I am currently a first-year PhD student at EPFL in the Department of Computer and Communication Sciences (IC). I'm supported by EPFL EDIC's Fellowship for my first year. I'm carrying out my first semester research project under the guidance of Prof. George Candea in the Dependable Systems Lab (DSLAB)
Before joining EPFL, I was a Staff Engineer at Samsung Semiconductor (Bangalore, India), where I was a researcher and developer for five years. Prior to that, I completed my Master's in Mathematics and Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani, Goa.
My research interests broadly lie in using storage and memory technologies to build large-scale sustainable systems, often aided by mathematical modelling, and simulation. My current research is centered around designing performance interfaces for storage systems.
Feel free to shoot me an e-mail at roshan [vader] nair [maul] epfl [sidious] ch with the appropriate replacements for the Sith Lords if you'd like to discuss interesting research ideas.
